Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
AmazVids (“we”) is built to collect as little as possible. This policy covers amazvids.com and the AmazVids browser extension.
What we don’t collect
- No accounts, names or email addresses (unless you email support).
- No download history. We don’t record which videos you save.
- No copies of videos. Files stream from Amazon’s servers to your device and are not stored.
What we process
- Product links you submit. We use them to look up the product page. Results are cached for up to one hour to reduce load on Amazon, keyed by product ID only.
- Technical logs. Our hosting providers (Railway and Cloudflare) keep standard request logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. We use IP addresses only for rate limiting.
- Analytics. We don’t use Google Analytics, advertising trackers or tracking pixels. Our server only counts anonymous daily totals (for example, how many videos were saved or how many people installed the extension), without IP addresses, keys or video links.
AmazVids Pro
Payments are handled by Whop; the payment form on our checkout page is run by Whop and we never see your card details. Whop gives us your email so we can send your license key. When you activate Pro, the extension sends your license key to Whop and to our server to check it. The key is stored in your browser. To send your key and account emails (with Resend), we keep your email, first name, plan and key in our database (Upstash). We record anonymous daily counts (for example, how many downloads were made) without IP addresses, keys or video links.
Invite friends
To give you an invite code, the extension creates a random ID for your browser and registers it with our server. We store that ID, your invite code, who joined with your code, and a scrambled (one-way hashed) form of your IP address, used only to stop people inviting themselves. We do not store your name, email or browsing history for invites. An invite link you open on amazvids.com is remembered in your browser until the extension applies it.
Affiliate program
If you join our affiliate program, we keep your name, email, country, the link name you chose and the payout details you give us (for example a PayPal email or bank details), so we can show your dashboard and pay you. When someone opens an affiliate link, the website stores the link name in a cookie for 60 days and counts the click (we don’t store who clicked). If that visitor buys Pro, we record the payment id, plan and amount for the affiliate’s commission. If that visitor installs the extension, the extension links the affiliate’s link name to its random browser ID on our server for 90 days, so a later purchase made inside the extension still counts for the affiliate. Affiliates never see buyers’ names or emails.
Where visitors come from
On your first visit, the website stores in a cookie (avs_src, 90 days) only the kind of place you came from, such as “google”, “youtube” or “direct”. We add 1 to an anonymous daily counter for that source when you visit, when you click a link to the Chrome or Edge store, and when the extension opens its welcome page after install. No IP address, ID, page address or personal data is stored with these counters.
Free daily downloads
The free plan allows a number of downloads per day. So that this limit can't be reset by reinstalling the extension, the extension asks our server before each free download. The server counts downloads for the day using your browser's random ID and a scrambled (one-way hashed) form of your network address, so the same Wi-Fi can't get unlimited downloads. We never store your IP address itself, and these counts are deleted after two days. The random ID is also kept on amazvids.com in your browser, so a reinstall keeps the same ID. Pro users are not counted.
The browser extension
The extension runs only on the Amazon sites you enable in its settings. It reads video information from the page you are viewing to show download buttons. It also reads amazvids.com’s welcome page once after you install it, to pick up an invite or affiliate link you opened. Your settings are stored in your browser, together with a count of the videos you saved (used to ask, once, whether you would like to rate AmazVids). The extension does not read other websites and does not send your browsing history anywhere.
Automatic Pro activation
When you buy Pro on amazvids.com in a browser where the extension is installed, the checkout page asks the extension for its random browser ID and sends it to our server with the payment receipt. When Whop confirms the payment, the server keeps the license key for that browser ID so the extension can switch Pro on by itself, with nothing to paste. Only amazvids.com can talk to the extension this way, and these links are deleted after three days. Your key is still sent by email as well.
You can also sign in to Pro in another browser with your email: we email you a 6-digit code, and keep only a scrambled copy of it for 10 minutes. The code works once, only in the browser that asked for it.
Your choices
You can ask us to see or delete the email, license and affiliate data we hold about you by writing to the address below. Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored in your browser. Emails with tips include a link to stop them.
